Professional AdviceDevelopment and Construction

Our special expertise lies in the professional consultation, development and design of our plastic thermo products (also known as plastic thermoformed parts). We see ourselves not only as a manufacturer, but also as a service provider for our customers.

Of course, we also develop and design thermoformed parts that are to be produced abroad at a later date. We are happy to provide you with prototypes and production samples for this purpose.

Comprehensive Services of Knipp GmbH

Professional Counselling

At the start of a new project, we advise our customers on the technical design of the planned plastic moulded part. The following details are discussed in particular:

  • Product geometry: radii, taper, undercut areas
  • Suitable plastics: electrically conductive, food-safe, heat-resistant, impact-resistant, abrasion-resistant, benzene-resistant, chemical-resistant

Price offer and Product Layout

In the second step, we usually provide a product layout in the form of a technical drawing together with our elaborated price offer. We use modern CAD programmes (Solid Works and Pro Engineer) to create this technical drawing – which can also be animated on request. The plastic moulded parts are optimised with the customer on the basis of these specifications.

Timely Prototyping

Our flexible working methods minimise the time between the first meeting and delivery of the series products. Immediately after the first exchange of information and data, we prepare our offer and a product layout. Within three to four days of the order being placed, we produce detailed CAD-based drawings of the planned product. Immediately after approval of the drawing, we create models and samples of the desired product. This prototyping is usually completed after eight to ten days, depending on the complexity.

Production

After approval of the moulded part samples, we begin with the production of the tempered series tools made of aluminium, which can of course also be provided with pneumatic or spring-loaded loose parts and are manufactured on state-of-the-art thermoforming systems.

Moulded Part Sample

In the next step, moulded part samples are produced, discussed, modified and/or approved with the aid of plastic tools. These samples are often near-series prototypes. Our customers can test and assess these prototypes in the application before production of the series moulds starts.

Your Advantage

It is generally possible to obtain a concrete idea of the individual product in question within one to two weeks and get to series production as quickly as possible.

Our flexible working methods enable our customers to complete even urgent projects on time.
